Is the pain coming from your neck or shoulder?

Often times it is difficult to diagnose the pain generator if you are having shoulder or neck pain due to the close proximity of the joints and the large network of nerves in the area. Getting a thorough evaluation from a physical therapist can help distinguish the cause in order to provide the right treatment. One helpful way to check is if you look over your shoulder, do you have motion loss, pain in your neck or radiating down your arm? Or if you raise your arms up, do you have pain or motion loss in one of your shoulders? This is just one test in evaluating your neck and shoulder. If you have neck or shoulder pain, schedule an initial evaluation today before trying trying an injection to see if physical therapy can help.
